The mortgage calculator is only the most basic tool to give you a general feel for costs. The
limitation of this tool is that it doesn't figure other items you'll have in your monthly payment: property
taxes, property insurance, flood insurance and - of particular importance in Florida - windstorm insurance. Those costs
can easily double or even triple the mortgage calculator's estimate. Unless you're contemplating
a total cash transaction - don't we all wish? - your mortgage company is going to require these items.
